What is your fee?
My fees are consistent with the market rate for doctoral level psychologists in the Bay Area. I am out of network with most insurance plans. If I am out of network for your current insurance, I can provide you with an invoice that you can submit to your insurance to obtain whatever reimbursement your plan allows.
Helpful Questions to Ask Your Insurance Company:
- “What are my outpatient mental health benefits?”
- “Is there a maximum number of sessions per calendar year?”
- “Do I have a deductible and does that deductible apply to my mental health benefits?”
- “Do I require pre-authorization from my primary care doctor before starting therapy?”
- Note that if for whatever reason, your insurance fails to pay for sessions, you are ultimately responsible for payment.
Do you ever see children or adolescents?
No, I see adults ages 21 and up for Individual Psychotherapy.
What are your office hours?
I see clients by appointment, during the day and evening, Monday through Friday.
How do I set up an appointment?
Call me at (650) 266-9225, my confidential voicemail, which I check often during the day. I will return your call usually within 24 hours, or by the next business day.
What are the limits of confidentiality?
Your confidentiality will be protected. However, under the following circumstances, I must break confidentiality BY LAW if:
- you pose a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.
- there is a risk of child abuse, elder or dependent adult abuse.
- your records are court-ordered.
